Embroidered on my Heart is a block print that was carved out of MDF Board. This particular print was done by relief print onto mulberry paper, and features common patterns utilized with Hmong reverse appliqué embroidery. Growing up, I watched my Grandma create Hmong clothes and accessories for my whole family, and appreaciated the intricate crafstamanship that went into each stitch. This piece is an ode to my Grandma and all her hard work, to my family and their dreams, and to my culture.
